Truphone Acquires 'In-Network' Mobile Voice Recording Solution from Obsidian Wireless.
Operator to roll-out 'roaming compliant' mobile recording service internationally.
LONDON, (June 2012): Truphone, the global mobile network operator announces the acquisition of Obsidian Wireless' 'in-network' voice recording solution. The acquisition marks an important milestone in Truphone's strategy to provide seamless mobile recording for businesses across the globe.
Following a successful partnership between the companies in 2011, Truphone will integrate the technical components and leading expertise from Obsidian Wireless into its own organisation.
The Tru Mobile Recording solution, powered by Obsidian Wireless, provides instant call connection times and compliant recording of voice and SMS communications, which can be stored and organised within a company's existing infrastructure, or Truphone's secure cloud storage environment. This deal will ensure customers receive a better quality of service support, and secure a clearer roadmap for new product development.
